Nice find and looks solid. The title threw me off. Like the Squirrel we all know.

I was kinda thrown off by the title too. Really nice car...but doesn't look fast enough for @squirrel;)

That 283 is more traditional than a Flathead, a lot more reliable too!

  6. Definitely keep the 283! That coupe is totally "hambworthy" now...

  7. I agree!.... My '34 has a 283 also.

Thanks all. The 283 is one of the main reasons I bought the car. All new brakes, still single pot mc. Does have safety retainers on banjo axles. Very quiet single exhaust. Uses two passenger side manifolds. Has nice Arvin heater. Can't wait to legally drive the wheels off it !

I picked up a 27 coupe recently. It's a stocker, and close enough to being a decent original car that I dont' want to modify it (yet). So yeah...there might be an adventure...but right now, a real adventure would be a 10 mile trip into town!

But that's a story for another thread.

  23. Oxblood interior? It looks good to me, just like that trad 283. They're great engines.

Give it a once over, tune up, and run up some miles. That car kicks ass.

Id like to see a thread this winter asking what kind of tires to buy, cause you wore the set on the car out this summer.

    khead47,

That is a nice looking car! It looks like a twin to my early '47 Super Deluxe Coupe that I have in the classifieds right now.
