This is the model-A that got the hemi, my father (Lennart) took care of the frame and body after we slaughter it...
Absolutely Beautiful! I love the color. Don’t worry about the Chevrolet engine, I put Small Block Chevrolet’s into everything. It’s hard to argue against the vastly superior engine! Your craftsmanship is outstanding. Thanks for sharing with us. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Very cool! Like others have said, your detail work is outstanding! Love the whole package. Well done!
Its funny I saw this, as I was just talking to my dad about his 53 coronet last night. I also thought about a gasser, but didn't know what it would look like, now I do. That is a beautiful car. Tony
Yes..I guess we're being PC now on the newer HAMB. Still a shame ,that after all the beautiful work, the o/p couldn't find a set of vintage traditional wheels for it.
In the first upstart i used a Edelbrok XC8 intake with edelbrock carbs, but i wanted a tunnelram intake. I later found a Holly tunnelram and Holly carbs. the intake funnels i turned from aluminum blocks. You can see the AN fittings. It was not simple to find in gold. I tried to only use black, gold and green colors in this projekt.
It's amazing the things we put ourselves through to put an old car together! It's well worth the time & effort, but Geeeeze!!! Nice work on that ol' MoPar!
Lets not worry about the wheels, and call this a 60's drag car influenced build. The color reminds me of a Triumph chopper I knew of in the 60's . They called it flip / flop and if I remember right it was a combination of candy and pearl over metalflake. When was the last time you saw a 53 Dodge in the states let alone Sweden. Beautiful car ! Larry
Great workmanship, along with detailed photos and documentation ! It looks like an over sized Willys Aero, you should be proud !
Those velocity stacks have to be the tallest I've ever seen! Did you make them or are they repurposed from something else? Cool either way.
I have a Mustang friend (ohhhhhh Mom... he said Mustang!! Eewwwwww) from Sweden and his craftsmanship is exceptional like yours! (Must be a Nordic thing?!) Very nice ride and definitely NOT cookie-cutter! 6sally6
Dashboard is modified with SW Green line instrument. and painted in Green and Gold Flake. New wire harness was build. The steering Wheel is from a raceboat.
All upholstery is made buy my daughter an myself. Front chairs is Kirkey. In the trunk is a fuelcell and Battery mounted
Now the Gasser HORNY RAM building is completed. Hope you enjoy and estimates this projekt. Have a nice summer. Lennart o Marie Ps! You can look at some other projekts from our family here om Hamb. Search Sanna&Simon in Hot Rods and Custom thread.
@HOTRODPRIMER .....while the Coronet that is featured in this thread is an outstanding build by @Lennart&Marie ....... the foundation for it ain’t chopped liver.
hey ... thats my car ... THX Lennart&Marie... if you still have the Wheel Opening Moldings send them to me ...
Really? That’s hilarious! That is a pic I pulled off the internet some time ago, don’t remember where I found it or when. But I have a ‘53 Coronet hardtop and collect photos of ‘53/‘54 Dodges as I come across them. Ray
