My son got married over the weekend near Wintergreen, Virginia. On the way back to Tennessee yesterday I saw this car being moved. At first thought it was a "barn find", but it's too clean for that. Not exactly sure what it is (1950 Ford?) but thought you might enjoy. Looks like a solid project from what I can see. If the owner is on here, nice car! oldcar.jpg

I´d say it´s a 50 Plymouth Coupe. Or maybe Dodge. But not a Ford. Pretty cool nonetheless!

We don't have them in Tennessee either for non-commercial.

Kansas doesn’t require trailer tags under 2000 pounds either.

I don’t run plates on my trailer here either.

Hmmm... flat tire on the front, huge tire on the rear. Looks like pinstriping where the license plate goes. The tail lights look slightly different than a '50 Plymouth. Maybe.

I am pretty certain it's a 1950.........or could be a '49 with '50 rear fenders, but it's not likely a '51 or '52 as best I can tell from looking through the car at the windshield shape and the taper of the hood. '51/'52 hoods have a noticeably different shape than '49/'50. I have owned several '49's and a couple each of '50/ '51/'52s.

Ah, Lesson learned. Even my kayak trailer has a plate here in PA, but I don't have to get it inspected.
