But it was a two door post = Gasser.
I cut off the front end and built a new frame. Made brackets for a straight axel from Ford F100 -58. Engine brackets for chevy csb and a modified firewall.

Glad to see your Dodge. I don't see a whole lot of modified Mopars, especially early 50s. Maybe my 53 Chrysler 2d ht can be a hot rod, too.
That is, if I can be as diligent as you've been. Nice job!

@Lennart&Marie I have to be honest with you, I read your thread title yesterday and I thought, Oh, no! Not another bad “gasser” thread. I could not have been more wrong, when I looked at the pictures today you have saved a tired old stocker and built a real Gas Class worthy car. It rivals any Tri-Chevy that I normally associate with a gasser that is not a Willys or Anglia. Well played, a beautiful car.

  21. You have done lots of nice work, but I can't say im a fan of the sbc in a mopar. At least you didn't use a LS1.

Love the Mopar! I have a ‘53 Coronet Diplomat (2dr hardtop) .....very ‘shoebox’ like.
Very nice job you have done. Thanks for sharing!

p.s. info on the split window VW would be welcome....but off topic here. A private message would solve that.

The car come without Engine and tranny. So i did like they did in the late fifties take what you have and build what you can. The most of the parts is the kind that was in the hides. All the missing parts was used to a Rod build, Ford cupe'-30
