  2. Denny,

    I’m sorry,,,but Mark wins the contest .

The other guy has a truly immaculate collection,,,,,I have never seen so many perfect cars in one place before,,,they look just like new !
It would definitely take a dedication to the 32 to do anything on that level,,,,,and a tremendous sum of money,,,,those cars are gorgeous .

However,,,,,,Mark has a collection of everything,,,,,machines that I have never heard of in some cases . Although none of his are stock,,,or factory original,,,,,they are a tremendous example of what use to be in that time period .
I guess it is comparing apples to oranges,,,,,,both are worthy of equal praise .

The winner is Mark,,,at least in this instance .
    And besides,,,,,,he’s on the Hamb,,,,,it’s a hot rod / custom site .

    Tommy

Hey guys! Read my first post, this time carefully. I never said the '32 collection was better, I said it was a "close second". My point is that there are some fantastic collections in cold, frigid Minnesota.

Yes. I remember seeing sixties rod magazines with regular features on drag boats.

I have had couples here, when we entered the house and she saw cars inside and turned to her husband and said "don't you get any ideas"

Sad to see that people thought they had to whine about the drag boat. Drag boats are just hot rods on the water and in the Seattle area in the 60's you quite often saw one being towed by an equally hot car and often as not a 62 or Earler Corvette.

You can't get the sound of the V-drive gearbox out of your system.
I live about quarter mile from a lake and can tell the difference when a performance outboard, jet or V-drive winds up.
    The V-drive gives me chills

I don't get this, there are several "items" that are later than 64-5 HAMB era in your collection in the pics.
The thread is pulling your "collection" out.
There is even a thread started by Ryan that has drag boats/ marine hot rods or whatever it's called.
    Oh well, my opinion

  14. He's definitely a '60s person... LOL. The Golden Age of Customs IMO, and he's got some outstanding examples. And he likes them with clean styling (not including his Roth stuff; that's in a class by itself !), no overdone goopmobiles here. If he could promote the Jade Idol, Matador, Adonis, and Silhouette into his collection, he'd have the market about cornered...

Money has no value unless it's spent, it's obvious that Mark has spent his money very wisely!

Ya know, jeez louise... all of the stuff was taken out of the building and pictures were taken and shared. I looked at each picture about ten times and each time I noticed something more that I missed. The lawn mower, the magazines, the art on the walls, and so on. All of that eye candy that was so cool and yet some people looked and complained about one item (the boat) out of all the neat stuff on display. Jesus, get a life.

If I moved everything out of my shop all I'd get would be a citation for an illegal junkyard. Cool stuff
