Starting to collect parts to revamp ol 169, I had to move her from one storage spot to another for the last time. This buggy deserves to be driven so I’m gonna make a “few minor changes” this winter... 9491B289-4D65-443D-9B33-D96DE06166D7.jpeg

working on this set of Belond-ish stainless headers for Rich’s y block, almost done, just gotta add an extension to the down tubes and a set of outlet flanges.

And I’ve been ironing out the tail section to Dave’s manning chassis special, still quite a bit to go but it’s starting to take shape, mocking up a spare tire faring in cardboard...

I really like that track nose. Rest of the car kind of remind me of an Allard. Be interesting to see some cycle fenders and partial rear fenders on it.

It’s got some allard influence, a pinch of 40s Indy car, some early ford hot rod, a little mg, and a bunch of home built sports car. I’m getting pretty excited to drive it!

Working out a plan now, going to go in a totally different direction with it haha, some folks will probably hate it but that’s life I guess.

Taking it in a showcar direction ala Barris on the Chrisman coupe? Can't do gull wing doors on a roadster, but maybe some Lambo doors? Some cool pontoon fenders, mold everything together, candy paint. Sounds cool!

not quite that far Jeff haha, I’m thinking ditch the belly pan/tonneau/hood, add a 32 windshield, polish and chrome everything in the engine bay and the entire front suspension, 6 individual ripple pipes, a real grille insert, 57 ford coral/black paint scheme, black n white interior, narrow slicks... just daydreaming and parts collecting for now tho

Checking window profiles and fine tuning the roof shape on pats 33 3w. We got the rear roof tacked in place and inner structure on the a pillars finished. I completely remove the pillar skins in the chop area, this allows total rebuild a full penetration welding on the inner structure. The a pillars skins had some pretty serious rot around the factory weld and under the factory leaded areas, we will have to make the upper sections of outer skin.
