Another Oakland roadster show car found well half of it anyways You can see Dean Jeffries stripping it in the mid fifties I believe Sent from my iPad using H.A.M.B.
Wow! Glad you found what's left. It would be very interesting to have been able to trace the car's history and see how it ended up in that condition. You would think "car folks" would have done better.
That car has the look. When they built it did they keep the wood in the body? What are your plans for it?
Find...not bought but if he found it and Bought it even better...It's a shadow of its former self but at least it hasn't been F'd with other than the obvious missing pieces...Nice lines and workmanship in that indeed...Thanks for sharing that I just saw the ad last night coincidentally @Austinrod
Amazing, and still wearing a lot of it's original striping it looks like! I truly hope whoever buys this has a deep appreciation for it's history and it can see the road again, either in preserved or fully restored condition. The sheetmetal looks excellent yet.
Wow, what a terrific find!!! Body looks to be in great shape. Lead work used in the chop and cowl vent fill. I'd drop it on a running chassis as is and drive it that way for awhile before painting/restoring it.
Looks like someone started a redo and then shoved it out in the back lot when they needed the garage space. That may have saved the history of the car though.
What a cool Chevy, there’s definitely enough there to get it back together. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Great find! Beside mine, it is the only other Mallory Mag-Spark for a BlueFlame Chevy I have seen. Thank-you for posting!
No not yet still looking at others Sold Seaburst Looking for a new project It still has the pinstripes Sent from my iPad using H.A.M.B.
Not doubting it's the original car/body, but the pinstriping is slightly different. But then again it looks like the paint is a different color. Maybe after a color change, the pinstripe was replicated. Still, I wouldn't mind having it. Maybe more pictures/articles will show up. Ron
wow that is very cool , sad to see it has fallen so far from the car it was but glad it survived in some state or form
Dean Jeffries had too redo the pinstriping because it was Too risqué back then it was a woman with her legs spread. He redid it later we’re they were closed lol Sent from my iPad using H.A.M.B.
That's a cool one...thanks for sharing @Austinrod...fingers crossed it gets into the right hands... https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/chevrolet/standard/2391686.html
I hope you can make a deal @Austinrod it would be a shame for a Tech-NO rodder with on respect for history to get their hands on it!
