Security is a concern as always, and not everhything I have is HAMB friendly. but here is a mini tour:

I snagged an in ground single post hoist from a garage that was demolished, so that is in my shop now, it's been very handy. Nothing in the way when not in use, all 4 wheels hanging when in use. Good for brakes, tires, etc.
    49.jpg

The walls are mostly lined with pallet racks to hold all the parts for my project cars. And for stuff I collect because I like it.

    hot rod.jpg

Along one wall I have a Logan 14" lathe and a Bridgeport mill, a parts washer and a press. I take free file cabinets when I can and store and organise my stuff in them.

When I decide I'm going to neglect a car for a while, it goes up on the rack. 6 go up, and 6 under.

I collect old motors, and speed parts for them. Usually oddball stuff. Like this ford 337, a caddy V16, a Packard 8 and V12, plus Hemi stuff.

    Chrysler 265 coming in:

I have an Edmunds head and intake for the 265.

    Packard 12

I have an edmunds head and intake for the Packard 8.

    packard head.jpg packard intake.jpg

I have an Olds and Pontiac Straight 8 in the shed, as well as a caddy flathead.

    I also collect automotive cut aways;

    Nascar Dodge

    Early Hemi
    hemicutaway1.jpg

Other cut away engines include another early Hemi, Model T, Corvair, Pinto 4, Lincoln 32 valve DOHC, Flathead Ford. In the pic above where the CHrysler 265 is being pulled from the back seat of the truck, in the background behind he triangle of the cherry picker, you can see an early Hemi cutaway on a pallet. THis was built with an automatic transmission cutaway. I guy a bought it from sold the trans to someone else. Crazy. I'd like to find it and reunite them.

    Corvair

Have you ever heard of an Edmunds intake for a Duesenberg Model J? I found one! I was amazed that it even exists. Edmunds Dusenberg intake.jpg

I drug this old relic home for free in non operable condition, and fixed some leaky valves and got it running. It still needs a good tune. The video shows some more of the shop:

I hope you like the mini tour!

One day I'll get around to finishing the walls and ceiling.(maybe) It always seems that those things can wait while I work on the stuff I like to work on. 3 zephyrs in garage 005.jpg

    cactus1...really dig your space.

a barn converted into a garage with a wood shop on top...get out of here!!

  15. Thanks! It is isn't it??? It was a family farm that we bought from the original owner's grandson . We have the original blueprints from the 1930 build of the house and 1946 build of the barn!

Haha! Thanks! Dunno if I "win" but I'm pretty darn happy :D

Thanks man! Sometimes I just sit out there and look around, haha!

I enjoyed that very much too, cactus1. Beautiful location. Beautiful place. And you've got your shop very nicely organized. Utilizing the space as wisely as possible.

About a dozen plumbobs hanging from the ceiling like Christmas ornaments.

That barn of yours is flat out cool! I haven't had time to watch yours until now. Makes mine look like a cluster but thank you!

Here are some shots around parts of the shop. Pics are from the last couple months give or take so the cars get moved around in the pics. There is still another half the shop I use for storage. 84F43091-CF5E-4D3B-86F7-7377387E16B7.jpeg B08E4CC8-1C49-47EF-8FAC-F82002547671.jpeg BB3F6D9E-CEC0-440A-84FE-FE2EEC4D078C.jpeg D3617C91-7BA2-4C7E-98A6-389F3AD53681.jpeg 3660B440-6B0B-4F72-91F0-FFA82E902085.jpeg 3DB19C65-31B4-4385-AA8D-98DEBCB899D1.jpeg BC495781-B27B-42E7-AC0F-01E846C98410.jpeg ACBF54CC-634E-4E7D-9D7D-2CE3D045ED67.jpeg AB3C0C7C-9AFF-4000-BF7B-573EB9CF9CCC.jpeg A7E6AB8C-1641-4E91-A8E0-8E408AE30793.jpeg A125BF94-9FEB-43DD-A3E9-921686721858.jpeg 484284BD-2D59-4C0B-8EB0-5881EA8ADA08.jpeg 1B060F29-1E7B-455F-82EC-A2CD63A71F46.jpeg

Been thinking about this thread lately and see I missed a few of the last ones! A year plus later there’s still an aweful lot of being in the garage so I figure I’ll bump it to the top and see if anyone else wants to add to the thread :)
