Is that a 39 windshield? 40's are just rubber moldings not chrome, looks good. I like the new look. Mick
I like the first wheels and tires better but I like the new nerfed bar bumper and steering wheel better now. Nice car.

A 40 Ford is like a pretty girl, you can't hardly make either one look bad. I have to say I like the new look better though.
Damn it looks great both ways. Every other summer you could change it around. A weekend of work in the spring and bam new look.
Hello, It was a very nice hot rod in the left photo. Everything was just fitting, style wise and stance, for a cool looking hot rod. The red color reminds me of our old 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery we had a long time ago. Yours is much nicer in appearance in the original state. Nothing fancy, just a very cool looking hot rod as a person would describe a hot rod. The wheels, the stock appearance, plus the fog light makes it like a show ready, daily driver, hot rod. If ours looked like your coupe in color and wheels, we probably would have kept it all of these years. It looks like a classic hot rod that would have been rolling on the streets in So Cal or elsewhere during our teenage years. But, you did ask for comments, so, the front end of your new version looks out of place. The tires and hubcaps do nothing to make it outstanding. It looks like you are trying too hard to please a certain group of owners. It was very nice the way it was in the original stance and look. Why were the mods done? As far as traditional, for the 1940, your original coupe version had the traditional look of a 50’s-60’s hot rod. The second version? There is no time period for that style. If the headlights were “frenched,” and the hood nosed, it might have a classification for it as a modified, custom car. Jnaki Since the changes can be undone easily, the original version has our vote. For someone that has spent a lot of time in a 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery, my wife mentioned, (when asked which one she would have owned) that her favorite is the original version with that clean look of a cool hot rod. Would she have driven that coupe around So Cal like she did the sedan delivery? Of course was the answer. The other version, not so much…
