  2. I see the CA assigned VIN tag. My '60 F100 also has an assigned VIN. But it this car an old "lost title" survivor or an older restoration?

Either way, man that thing is clean.

  3. That heater tube looks like exhaust off of a 2 stroke(snowmobile). Was that an aftermarket item for sale at one time?

That was a factory option, along with the conventional hot water heater.

    That's gonna be a GR8 ride. Very nice !

  7. Thanks, I didn't realize they used the hot air system on the "modern" cars. (sealed beams, hydraulic brakes)

That engine ought to bring the front end down some. Never seen a W motor with blue valve covers.

I stood on the engine and my extra 200lbs did not do much.

Right now is the stock springs with the top 2 leafs removed.
I was thinking I need to go to a posie reversed eye.
How many leafs can I take out 60869468344__82420D2D-A661-4BF6-B269-F6AC18ADD4CF.JPG

Looking over the block it has orange on the back side. I think someone picked blue some time ago. Blue intake, valve covers and pan.

Very nice, I passed once on a 40 sedan at the Louisville Nats a few years ago at a great price. Now you are making me have regrets over that decision. Keep up the good work. I am watching.

  20. When I'm using original spring packs, I'll keep the main, and next one to it, then alternate leaves, for the balance. See how that works.

The new stance is with the posie 2” drop spring.
I can already tell that was a good move. The stance is right and the front has for forgiveness.

  22. Ok. Knew you were thinking of going to a Posies spring, didn't realize you had it already installed.

  25. Posies spring and drop axle? or a Posie spring with a stock axle. Make sure you post up with the rear end mods too. I'm going to dive into my '47 in the future.

Posie spring and dropped axle. Split wishbones.
    Disc brakes.
Also learned the difference in a Posie dropped steering arms versus the TCI.
TCI accommodated the disc brake bracket.

    Little help:
As I am mocking up the rear posie spring setup the bump in the frame is getting in the way of the bracket. It’s on both sides.
    Anyone know what it is?
    Cut it out?
    Hammer it in??

    ADVISE AND HELP:

I was getting ready to put the Posie rear spring setup in.
These seem to be right where the bracket needs to go. Anyone know what the are originally for. They are on both sides.
Should I cut it out?? Hammer them back in? Thanks

  30. Where is this located at on the frame? I looked under my two-many door and couldn't find anything like you have pictured.
