Im in the search for thermostat housing neck for my 1955 287 Pontiac chieftain

Here's a photo of one for reference. The bolt pattern is a little smaller than a chevy neck. makes me wonder if you couldn't maybe slot the mounting holes of a chevy neck with a round file. Somebody prolly has an extra one here.

 

Where are you located? There's one in a junkyard close to me. Looks like somebody put a breather on top of it.

 

I had one......I'll have to look tomorrow. That said, that parts car wouldn't happen to have been a standard was it?
