Thanks Loudbang. I really enjoyed the Canadian Mercury truck and GMC pic. You can tell the GMC is a Canadian brochure cover by the Pontiac sedan delivery which was not available in U.S. The Canadian Pontiac was half Pontiac and half Chevrolet. Chassis was shorter Chev chassis with Chev drivetrain. The Canadian Mercury Panel truck and van style panel had a big problem from about 1953 until mid-sixties. The rear panel doors had large "FO" pressed in driver's side door and large "RD" in passenger side. Not enough Mercury panels built to have their own doors, so to use Ford doors there was a very large chrome plate for each door to cover up Ford. Drivers side rear door had "MERC". there were 2 versions of the passenger side chrome cover. Six cylinder had "URY", while the V8 got a V8 notation after the lettering. These chrome pieces are rare and dang hard to come by when restoring a M 100 panel. 1 more car I promise, Rex Winter Dry n windy Lubbock TX
Cut this out of a magazine many years ago, can't remember the name or who took it ... but Cool is cool ...
