No coupe, no doors. They have make it, like it is now, long long time ago.
We have coupes everywhere.... I think , this is nice old racecar and I store it .

Easy to jump in.... Maybe owner make old style paintjob, Im not sure.
I just make sheet metaljobs, exhaust, I decide main outlook. Not too low, I like more early 40s style etc etc.

Quiet Sunday no noisy and dirty jobs. Only planning, drawing etc. easy jobs.

    Lights are 40´s KingBee.

    vertical or horizontal?

@AULIZ...I did a few inspirations for you to help envision where your going with this...I did a couple of minor adjustments...

    1) to the position of the license plate frame (I centered it in panel by moving it down)

    2) I moved the taillight assembly inboard to add a little space between the assembly and the quarter bead

Other than that just did a few different orientations...

One Question...Is the plan to cut out the shape of the Beaded Teardrop and weld it in and finish it or does it sit on top of the panel?

    Hope one Catches your Eye...;)

    Hello
Thank You very much. You have good talent to make photoshop... Maybe I made more two another style sheetmetal pieces. Problem is that those lights are very little size. He has bought and wants that I use thoso. I have few pair rare taillights on stock , but I do not want to sell those. nr 4 is best, if I look those fotoshop pics.

It looks like it originally had something like a 58 Chevy taillight. Maybe you should get some of those.

Really like your build but with no doors at my age I'd need a stepladder to get in. No hoping over the side for these old bones.

They are too small. I was thinking it, you said it. Try and convince to owner to try something a bit bigger. The Pontiac lights are nice.

Pontiac 50 lights are nice, but too many have those. I sold 15y hot rod parts, not want to use normal "bolt on and everybody have" -models. I have sold hundreds all of these: pontiac 50, 1932, A-ford, 59 caddy, 48 chevy, 46-48 ford, 1933-36 ford, 37 ford, 38-89 ford,.....

That's very Cool Auliz...I'm thinking you made a smaller diameter beaded backing than the one you had in the Post#136 or it hightlights how far off a Photoshop rendering can be. If that is in fact smaller it does suit the small tailight better.

I did do a smaller diameter version which was #7...

Glad that I was able to help out...

They are small but one thing to remember is lots of old Hotrods had only 1 single light...

Do those Kingbee lights have double filaments to cover Brake, Signal and Running Modes? I am just curious as it is a small light.

Stay safe...and say hello to little Auliz for us...;)

Thank You very much. Oskar son is very interested in all what happens in garage. He was drive there between my rods (3wheeler) when he was only 2-3y old. Now he is very much with me because I teach him while school is closed due to COVID-19. I have never asked him to come there, because I do not want that he is tired about old hot rods, FED racers etc.... Normally his hobbies are play electric guitar in music school (fender 3/4 size), athletics in sporthall, Legos, drawing pictures, playstation etc... but slowly more and more with dad on the road, in the garage and car races... , if he wants so.

Today we made those alum. "discs". He followed when I lathe those pieces of aluminum round and made bead etc.
I know that later after years he is realized many things what he has seen etc... Of course he has been organized my stuff, tools, bolts, etc.... to see stuff, touch etc is very important and help very much in future. Now a days many things are happen too much virtual or just look cataloques. Everytime I do something (engine, distributor, carbs...) I say Oskar, come here and feel clearance ... how can You know what is right quide><valve clearance if You do not have feel it or see it? same with distributor bushings, rear axle tapered roller bearing preload,.... hundreds of things...... You can have good "finger memory" or visual memory.

Yesterday I show him those photoshop pics You made. I told that tomorrow after he has done mathematics and other schoolworks we go to garage and made new Aluminum tallight backfaces. Small light is OK, but You need to do something which make it looks bigger. Now bead is near light but material outside that makes it look bigger. New plate is more like race style (rivets, aluminum, OD +4"....

As always hot rod building is something own, something old and mixed, something different, something simple. "cataloque building" is not right way to built hot rod like they made early days.

This old phrase is always valid: "dare to be different, but keep it simple".

I hope so. I play football outside and help him schoolworks. Oskar helps homeworks and little in garage. Good to learn that need to do small jobs and help each other. Of course, if You want something, You need to do different jobs to reach Your goal.
