I agree...sorry but the high schoolers choose to ride with the “old” guy of 20. It happened back as now with rice rocket on nitrous or even the 70+ guy in a high powered super car who has no business in it.

Good point. I'll go back to what I've said before. When you hear someone say "With that much horsepower, I would kill myself", all your telling me is your a bad driver.

  23. ^Red '66 Chevelle pics may be some early press photos. 396 flags on a Malibu unlikely. Anything could have happened with option sheets..

Yes I believe it is at the little 500 with Tom York up.
The 33 is Jack Calabrase and I believe he did promote some indoor racing around Indiana you're thinking of Emmett Hahn who promotes the Chili Bowl.

The #33 midget was owned by Coxie Bowman who was a long time entrant in both USAC and at local tracks in the northern Illinois area. I believe Bobby Grim also drove for Bowman.

And I believe the Tom York photo is from the 1964 Little 500.

Rootie, is there any information on the #2 super? It's certainly got some unique looking bodywork.

    Thanks!

I don't know anything about the #2 car other than it was raced on the southern Ind. /Ky. modified circuit back in the 50s. Looks like it was a well built car though, wish I new more. Haven't been able to come up with much info on that series but I believe it was pretty much a run watcha brung deal and fairly short lived.

Definitely promo fotos, no outside mirrors or antenna. Notice no exhaust either. Nothing to take away from the car itself. You can see this for all ads in magazines back then.
