Hey gentlemen I just picked up a 32 five window project. Been wanting one ever since I got into hot rods. Well that came into reality fellas. Looking for ideas as to what I might be looking to do. Lately I’ve been contemplating on just building a patina traditional hot rod with a 59a flathead. Show some pictures guys , here’s mine.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Chopped high boy, no fancy paint or chrome. Make it something you can drive every day.

Thanks guys definitely want to get this thing running ASAP. Sold off my roadster to get this one. Definitely missing out on jumping in a hot rod for a ride.

Try “carefully” using some C-L-R on some inconspicuous spots. Make sure to neutralize afterwards.

You need to chop the top. Here's mine with a 5 inch chop. SAM_1067.JPG

This coupe was originally from Barcelona, story is that the owner that had it before me ran out of funds when he started building the car. It sat at Hollywood hotrods since 2004 that I can trace back too. They did the suspension and motor mounts for the car. The car ended up sitting a friends house in the elements for a year. Here’s some pictures of the build during its stay at Hollywood hotrods.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

The car didn’t come with the hemi, was too much for me to purchase with the car.

Wow - great starting points on a pretty much blank canvas

  17. Now that's a great project! A lot of nice things have been done to it already, too bad it had to sit outside. Will you keep it hemi powered? Does it still have the quickchange in it?
    Here's my '32 5W projects.

    Nice project !
Whilst my favourite car is a 4” chopped ‘32 5 window, you can still build a nice car with stock height. And you will save time and $ on body work. Money that could be spent on a proper paint job that a good body like that deserves.
Take a look at Kiwi 4d’s 3 window in his avatar, (post 10), - for inspiration . One of the best you will see.

A chop definitely in the future for the coupe. Right now I’m just trying to get this baby on the road so I can enjoy it.

Pulled it out yesterday and power washed the body and frame to knock off all the dirt it had gathered while being outside. Will start sanding some of the rust off hopefully this weekend.
