Pulled out a tree stump out with my Polaris, that was in the way for my fence!

  3. I have started on the tedious job of organizing my man cave, which is a monstrous project, because I am stuck with moving stuff around in the room, rather than being able to haul everything out and move and sort as I bring stuff back in.
The good part is, that I happened on a Chevy truck catalogue, that I had misplaced. It is important, because it contains a lot of Cameo bits and pieces, and I am sure to need some when I redo my truck.
I am more fatigued from sorting this crap, than I would be from pulling and re-installing a transmission.
Feels good, though, because it is great to feel well enough to actually get something accomplished.

Worked with my son all day in the shop. Roughed in my floor and chipped away at body work.

Replaced the fuel pump/sending unit in my o/t car yesterday. Previous owners had replaced it, but with the wrong style. Gas gauge read half full when it was empty. Made for a lot of wasted time trouble shooting. Car simply won't run with no fuel.

I have the same problem on my 65 XL, when it shows half full, it’s actually half empty! Don’t know how to fix it!

Wrestled the universal window gasket in place for my back window, every bit as hard as the windshield was. Not kidding I was sweating by the time I got it around the curves. Then if falls out..Going to wait and let it 'settle', hopefully get it out in the sun, maybe take a heat gun to it, before trimming the ends and putting the window in.

Good to see you guys working in the shop instead of sitting around moaning about the shelter in place. :)

@blowby , that’s a huge rear window! Not familiar with your build...what’s your truck?
    What’s the window from?

    I’m liking it!

Question for you vertical windshield guys...are you distracted by the reflection of the rear view, moving away from you in the inside of the windshield?? My answer...yes!

This is a part of my stump pulling arsenal! For my light duty stuff. Then the equipment on the barrel is for medium duty jobs. My heavy duty stuff is down on the ranch! I like playing with pulleys and winches and Polaris’s. Lol

Funny you mention that.. the original rear window was much smaller, maybe too small..so some previous owner opened mine out. A bunch! Larger than I would have but it is what it is, and the visibility is excellent. It's an American Bantam.

It had no windows when I got it, I put in some scratched up plexiglass before I painted it, this will be first time for real windows, we'll see about reflections.

In our last episode, th' Shoe was steadily grinding away, and any acceptable results might have appeared to be questionable. However, thankfully, things weren't as bad as they appeared.

Thanks @blowby. Amazing Truck! Did I miss a build thread?
Let us know about reflections, if any.

I've been chasing leaks on the Studebaker, I think I have them all fixed (except a Tee fitting for the heater hose???) and the last leak (I think) was the heater control valve. I'd used one off of a later model Hawk....it leaked even with new packing. I decided to rebuild the original Ranco valve, and I think I was successful, the heater works so now I will put the hood on!! The picture in the avatar was taken about three years ago. I suspect that hood fitment will not be a five minute ordeal. Wish me luck. IMG_2846.JPG

More woodworking, caulking and painting on the house today. But, quit a little early and took the 32 for a ride around. Lots of pasture burning in the area, always fun to ride around and watch the flames. Slow cruise.....

It’s got brakes and brake lights. Cranks over on the starter. Heading to a muffler shop that’s still open Tuesday morning. Maybe running next weekend to break it in. 38B99023-0ECD-4E67-B2F7-B72EC6FDADEC.jpeg

Spent a couple of hours getting the finale pieces on the Hemi so that I can get it on the run-in stand. Still need to make some kind of a timing pointer, but I draw a blank every time I look at the thing.

    My Hemi 202 (Small).jpg

Then Joanne and I got in the Model A and went for a nice leisurely 2 hour cruise out in the country. Was surprised at how many folks were out today, I guess folks are having a little cabin fever.
