    Yes THOSE braces were cutt off after the supporting fixture was added, sorry ;)
    Heres a better picture of my friends mold for a1953 Packard. The shape dont need hinges, I´ll try to find a picture of that kind of mold also.

  8. When my buddy Nads did his '59 El Camino, he started with a convertible windshield and built the framework around it. We did it, in his garage and driveway. Not for the faint of heart. IMHO, this is a very tricky process. Some look horrible. (like some of the Gawdawful ultra chopped Ford Shoeboxes) Detroit engineers knew what they were doing and had a keen eye for what looked good. Burnt orange Chevy is well done.

    Thank you Dragginwaggin for some reason I am not able to open the pdf file, looks like they weights on the arms to push the soft glass up ?......................

    296moon, Yes, that's what it appears to me too.
    I was able to open the PDF file on my iPad, using iBooks.
