I was only doing the same. I know you weren't really confused. I got the joke.

I'm trying to get a couple of cars out of the shop so I have a free bay. I have collected all the stuff for the chassis and have a load of really cool parts ready to go. For me, that's half the game. As soon as I throw the rails in the fixture I'll post up a build thread. The body is back from the blaster and looks extremely nice. Way better than I thought it would be. Been following your posts on here so we can get together and do a summer run up your way in the Vick.

I'm looking forward to following your build and glad to hear about the body being nice. I'm just waiting on my heads to come back from polishing.

Here’s a sneak peek of my heads and air cleaners. I should have them next week. 1665C6B7-D63A-499E-B9E7-72B91DFD288C.jpeg

  8. Wow, I wouldn't even install them. I would find a way to prominently display them in my living room. Beautiful.

Thanks. I can’t wait to get them and see them on. Especially with my black Stromberg carbs. My new motor is going to look killer. I’m super excited about it. I also want to thank @Koz again for the great deal on the motor. As far as displaying, my goal is to have a house where my garage is my living room.

I wish I could say I’ve done a bunch on it but I’ve been doing more work around the house. I’ve also been doing work to my Pontiac trying to get that running for spring. At least I have everything I need to finish putting my Ford together. I’ll more than likely be going to my storage unit this week to work on it. I don’t think it will take that long once I get on it. Plus I’m not allowed to work until next month so I have all the time I need to get both done. Hopefully I’ll have a job to go back to. This work shutdown might put us out of business. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen but all of this is going to put a real strain on the economy. I’m keeping my head up and moving forward no matter what happens. I hope all is well with you too. Good luck.

Stephen... Very inspiring, your engine(s) That SCAT crank and steel main caps got my attention, 12 lbs. lighter, polished.
I have a '46 Ford flattie recently rebuilt, .040" over, nice throughout. Tore it down, rebuilding with new Winfield SU1R cam, Navarro dual intake, just mild. For my '27 T Hiboy tub. Just something to keep me busy while self-quarantined in my garage and home shop...
    Good luck with the rest.

Thanks I’m hoping to fix the old block at some point. I’m interested to see how much of a difference my new motor will have in comparison.

Hey @Koz I just came across your Facebook page somehow. I was going to message you on there but I was on my wife’s page so I thought it would be better just to say hi on here. I hope you’re doing well and your Vicky is going well. I’m getting really close right now with mine. I’m hoping to be down the road in a week or two. If you have any good pictures of were you’re at on yours PM them to me. I’d enjoy seeing them. Take care.

001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG My drivetrain is pretty much finished and I'm getting the frame underway in between working on the other cars in the shop. I only get a little time in the evenings and occasionally on weekends. A few pics of my engine as it sits. I still need to finish the carb linkage and some small stuff. It is primed and ready to fire otherwise.

This is a '57 Vette 283 with '60 PP heads, (60cc chambers), Holleys and what I hope will be a good Clay Smith cam choice along with the Mallory and a for real, '60 Vette close ratio three speed. The shifter is a for real Sparkomatic just like I paid $25 bucks for in high school at Nichols Discount City Auto Department!!!!!! My friend Pete hooked me up on locating this piece of automotive history, (for free!). I'd like to have it fired by this weekend.

The body is blasted and ready for assembly as soon as I have a bay open in the shop.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I got a new job selling John Deere tractors so I’ve been super busy. Here’s where I’m at right now with my new motor. I hope to be finished soon.
