I had the pleasure of seeing the "Busonic" in person in Paso back in '03. I never get tired of looking at it, but once you've seen it in person pictures don't do it justice! E

That was Santa Maria 2018. Made a few changes since then. Redid the front when we got back and now working on Hudson tail lights and bumper overriders with indicators. May be back in 2021 for more fun.

Wait. What? Judging by the door is this a Merc w/ a Rivi front end? Is this car still around?

I had some kool pics of it but didn't post them. I'm glad that you asked the question. I think that it would be kool to own the Rivi'd up Merc. Would make a kool 60's style kustom.

I wike aww da nice pitsurs.

What I really like, is when late 50s sheet metal is added to the headlight and sometimes tail light area of 40s and early 50s cars.
Like this Chevy with 1955 headlight brows... it adds just the right amount of extension to give it a bit of late 50s swoopy flare, but still retains the gentle sexy curves of the body as opposed to the somewhat slab-sided bodies of the late 50s.

    Beautiful car.

Of course, the fact that somebody did a BEAUTIFUL job chopping the top on a hardtop with wrap-around rear glass helps.
And the restraint shown in the rear is sweet.
    Schmooooth.

Proportions are purrfect. Isn't the rear end off of a '51 Mercury?

I think so. Just the rear of the quarters.

    from Fremont NE

I noticed the back bumper is '51 Merc, but likely modified to fit, with exhaust through the ends. Rear guards appear to be modified '54 Chevy. Then I see the front bumper is also '51 Merc (assume also modified) with 49/50 Merc bumper guards. Never seen that bumper on the front of a '53 Chevy. I like it
