  2. Man they just keep coming! Between the firehouse and the body shop i don't have time to do anything lol. But i got the passenger side cut and ready also. Both sides are ready to install once i get the channel installed, who knows when I'll get to that  20200313_201133.jpg 20200313_201715.jpg

  3. A few years ago I had a beater-ish 55 convertible. I went through so many windows in that thing I should’ve learned your trade. They rattled around in the doors so bad every time I rolled em up they were broken, I just bought cheap used ones at swap meets. I did install some new felts etc but they were never really right:D

  11. What's up my hot rod brothers? Took some time to put the door glass in my car today.... got the driver's side done, went to the right side and the spring was broken on the regulator. Looked up a new regulator, $100, no says i. Made a new pin, found a spring on a regulator in the junk pile from something later model. Works great! And i still got my hundred dollars lol... 20200328_185848.jpg 20200328_185841.jpg 20200328_185857.jpg

Gotta say I like the single color painted dash in your car. Many are two tone, and often seen is Bel Air inserts on a 210 or 150.

  18. I'm just rolling with what I've got lol, I'm going all white on the inside. Well, except for a blue steering wheel  that was HER idea. I'd rather have a white flake wheel.

Will that even "fit" the 59 body lines? 59 being somewhat "rounder", while the 60 is more "square"; the body "lines"

Lloyd, here's an alter ego shot of mine, all black with a blue'flake wheel. IMG_20171005_085930714.jpg
There's a white one around here somewhere..

  21. Pulled out the headlight bezels, and one is cracked, but i thought I'd check them out on the car. Tried putting the headlight buckets in the backing plates, but they don't fit. Gotta figure that out... 20200331_171925.jpg

Glad I am not the only one who does stuff like this. Putting my '57 together I was welding together 4 door sashes for the glass to go into, cutting down and re-drilling those roller channels from other cars, all my glass is salvaged original stuff, and I made all of my felt sweeps and channels from those big long generic pieces you get in a tube.

Windows all work and are really nice and tight now, but man, what a job that is! Very time consuming to do it right, and even tougher when you're trying to keep a tight budget and not just buy everything new.

Looks like you're getting it done, little by little, looks good!

  26. Hell yeah man! I take a lot of pride in doing things the hard way :D It gets aggravating some times, but i guess that's what makes it satisfying. It's more fun to say "i made that" ;)

  27. Lemme see if I have a spare around here for you. What else do you need?
