Reason? Yellow Ford was a something you would expect to see on the S.T.M.B (Street Rod Message Board)

Love the grille treatment and the '47-'49 Studebaker Champion taillights!

Ahem .... "This" as you call it, appears to be a kustom. The title of the thread you are posting in is "Kustom Blues ... I need to see some Kustoms" The original poster was jonesing for some kustoms and posted some pictures of a trip to the Custom Car Revival. (See the theme there??)

The yellow 46-48 Ford coupe you posted screamed "STREET ROD" There is a difference.

Anybody including you, @loudbang, that doesn't fully "get" the difference should go and re-read (or read it for the 1st time) Ryan's guidelines for posting. If reading is hard, then look at the example pictures he posted. Notice he didn't post any street rods ... just sayin.

Now may we please see and talk about some Kustoms. Please do not reply directly to this post within the thread. Send me a PM if you want to argue the "difference"

Well I guess on this subject you are like J. Edgar Hoover talking about pornography "I can't describe it for you our tell you what it is but I know it when I see it."

Finished picture of this Mercury pick up. Can a Kat get a "Very Kool" this morning?

  11. Very cool Kat! Even if it is a little later in the afternoon. I had a few questions about this awesome pickup if anybody can answer them.
First of all, are those the turn signal assemblies under the headlights that look like little "smiling mouths"? Are these custom made or are they off of another car? Never seen anything like 'em.
Also, what is the front license plate holder off of? I dig the '49 Chevy license plate guard, but this "one ups" the '49. Then the work it took to get it to fit the contours of a '49 Plymouth bumper is a real work of art.

Kool news, the builder is a HAMB member and hopefully he will start a build thread. I have encouraged him to do so.... The turn signals are hand made, and license plate frames are made from cutting bumperettes in half and making a box between the halves.

Ford trim looks like it belongs on that Chevy. Hardly EVER see swapping going in THIS direction.

  16. They did a great job on that Chevy, the Ford trim really adds to it's beauty. BigO

  17. Oh yeah, the custom guys in Japan are killing it! So many great ideas, and they pull them off perfectly! E

  18. Yep, I was right! This man is an artist. One off custom made parts always take a great custom to the next level, and this truck is well on its way there. Look forward to more pix! E
