My favorite car. A buddy bought one back in about 61 for $75. It had a full house flathead with a cracked block. Moved all the speed equipment to a 49 engine. It ran pretty good.

  6. I had a 39 Standard Coupe, and liked the look of the Deluxe much more. I like the interior on your car, brings back memories.

That '39 is gorgeous. I bought a '39 DeLuxe Coupe in 1971 for $85! Had trans but no engine. I had a 59ab at home for it. I love the 39 dash and banjo wheel. I Still have our '40 Std. Tudor Dad bought in early 1965. Wish it was a coupe.

Thanks, just need to get some rain to wash the salt off the roads so I can drive this thing.
Go figure, it pretty much doesn't snow all winter until the one day I want to take it out for a shakedown cruise.
I pulled her outside today, but the roads leave a cloud of white salt when you drive down them. I'm not really good at this patience thing.....

Beautiful car!! From one '39 owner to another, slap a Columbia 2-speed under that thing and hit the highway!!

IDK, I had given it some thought but I remember reading a thread about a guy driving his car (a 32? ) to a buddies place and blowing it up a couple of times if I remember correctly. Not sure if it was here or on the Ford Barn, but it really got me thinking....
