I know this thread is old, but for some reason I cannot get past it. Idk what it is about this car but I cannot get past it. I absolutely love it man, great build!
This old thread keeps getting brought up. Very kind of you guys. I’ve been using the car for a few years now and had a few ups and downs. Still got an off idle issue that’s fighting me, sometimes too rich, sometimes too lean, but still working on it. Ran it at the strip, but hot weather and fuel pump issue meant a 14.5 was the best time I could get. Gear box took a dump on me. Those really expensive straight cut gears peeled open and exited through the bottom of the case. Still, it was a lovely place to break down. Since that happened, I have now rebuilt the chassis for a T5z. I’ll try not to break it. Pete.
After the gearbox failure and the chassis mods to fit the T5z the car has been great. I use it all year round, rain or sun, although it’s a bit tricky in the wet with the torque. I took the car to Prescott Hill for the VHRA Gow! Great event to attend. We get to run the hill as many times as you want, just queue up and go. Passengers too. Fully marshalled but not timed. some photos from the event by various talented photographers. Credit to them. And finally, a great video put together by Ella Mae Walker.
