This is the story of the Panel that don't won't to die.. I saw it for the first time here at HAMB for sale. Don't remember the price but it was to much for me. After a long time the seller (Bob a really nice guy, Super serious) wrote he's going to take it to LSRU in Austin TX and try to sell it there. If not in one piece so maybe in pieces. I asked him if we could agree in a fair price and he gave me that. i payed, and have no possibility to go and pick it up so i asked him for a little time.. Month after month was running and i was still in Sweden. Sometimes in Spring TX at Bruce's rod shop, but no time/chance to pick it up... after a loooooong time we talked and he have moved 300 miles away and left the panel at a neighbors place. So i have to hurry a little and my friends Dustin And Christy Lambert toke a trailer and picked it up. A nice little road trip. the Panel was now safe in Bruce's place waiting for a container to Sweden.. To be continued.... In the '30s the short trip to jail in one of those panels would have been cool enough to make me "want" to get arrested again...

To clear it out. The grey one is not mine. That Panel is Bruce Burroughs car. And he is my good friend and come along with us on our trips. The plan with my car is a smooth restoring and keep the patina. Car is here on the way in a container. To Sweden. 87AF5A35-B6F9-492A-92EC-2E7C0A59AC90.jpeg

This car toke the ''Aaron Kaufman special award price'' so it's pretty good. My Brother (living in Asia) told me he also want to come. He need to take a car there for the show also. it's about 500 car in very high class there. To get the hotel and benefits we figured out that the best car for him to bring was the Panel. As it.. So here we go.. Estern weekend. And it was terrific..

So you found and bought a Deuce Panel in America, had it shipped to your place in Europe and then it went for a road trip to Asia so your brother could exhibit it. Truly, hot rodding, and the old car hobby in general has world wide appeal.
    Well played, @jimmysweden.

Sorry if i'm unclear.. My english is not the best.. No my brother is in sweden summertime and liked to come with me and my buddy Tomas Appelgren To the show. Anybody can go there and anybody can have a car in the show if they are selected. but in my case they asked me to come and they pay with hotel, 3 meal Buffetts per day and gas money.. Little like VIP.. The big guys gets more money and fly tickets and so on.. The show is F.S.S.M. and around 100 000 people is paying like 30 dollars to get in.. The Panel was my brothers ticket to the VIP..

I represent the shop and school where the panel is in pieces right now. This at risk students program is a city founded program where kids will learn a trade and get an second chance to get in to the society.
We do sheet metal, welding and paint shop.
So far the frame has been taken care of with some repairs and straightning. Then the kids have painted the frame and put the axles on it.
I´ll try to post updates together with Jimmy along the journey.

The drawings are done and measured in inch. That's all we get, and then we need to use this system.
