So yesterday I loaded up the family, connected the trailer and headed out across the high California desert to 29 Palms and bought a 60 2 dr Catalina stock car! Adjustments.JPG

at least the seller did not try to "stick" it to you - good looking body style

  15. I tend to agree..if it was a hardtop I’d go
Mild Kustom..could do a little of both..a hot 3 x 2 set up on the 389, some chrome reverse wheels, and some whites...

I had a ‘60 Catalina 2 dr post with a 389 and 3 on the tree, it was one of my favorite cars. I added the Bonneville dash trim, white walls and black wheels with baby moons and a 4 bbl. Painted it Marina blue. A simple car but it seemed to get smiles and good comments everywhere I went.

    Excellent find !!

Love to have a 62 but I'd be happy with any 60 to 64.

Scott, super nice car. I really like it. It looks pretty solid. You'll love it, they really go down the road.

Yeah, with it being a sedan and not a hard top I’m leaning towards street/strip car. It eventually need 15 inch wheels and poverty caps.

  22. Looks really solid! Good find. I pulled a 389/3 speed out of a 59 ambulance. The transmission was the heavy duty Borg Warner T-85. Sold it at the local swap meet for waaaay too cheap. 389with3speed7_13.JPG
The bell housing, stick starter and related parts are in my 34 ford now.

Waiting to have a trailer tire replaced. It wouldn’t be a road trip for our family if we didn’t have to change a trailer tire! Adjustments.JPG Adjustments.JPG Adjustments.JPG
At least we have a good time!
