Don’t get me wrong, I like Falcons, but why would you do this?

  8. Hmmmm,,, now that should get you some comments. I haven't read anything about you or your Falcon. Why don't you bring me up to speed here. My first impression is pretty abstract.

You could have found those on a lot of vans in the '70's and early 80's......never seen them on a Falcon....

Different for sure!!! I used to work with a british woman many years ago in healthcare; one of her favorite expressions/sayings was, "whatever turns your crank". I think that saying fits here. Some 45 years ago, not far from the Standard Chevron Station I worked at in high school (66-69), was a fella that had an early model, 4 door Falcon, with a built SBF and 4 speed. Little car was pretty fast, and really sounded good. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

What? Have fun working on my car?

  16. Well, I guess abstract was a good call. Sounds like you gathered up a lot of discarded items, managed to get everything connected together into one unit and go have some fun. You've probably learned a good deal along the way. I think that's the basics of building Hot Rods and I often say "There are no rules". Your Falcon backs that up. So what's your next project?

Bitchin'. How about some asbestos mats that flip out over them, for getting out of the back doors?

And speaking of back doors, what a great Uber mobile. Pull up, wearing a helmet, gun it a couple times and yell "Hurry up and get in"!

It’s like some customs that we’ve seen. Quad headlights don’t work on everything. It’s a question of design. What works what doesn’t.
    The zoomies don’t.

Thank you. Yes it is alot of fun. I have some subframe connectors and a 6 point roll bar for it. Most likely gonna remove the rear seat and make some upholstered panels for it. I covered my rear deck and added a third brake light already. received_494317148112477.jpeg

I think it qualifies as a hotrod. Light car V-8 souped up, third brakelight covers the safety features, fuzzy rear deck makes it a mild custom......he's got all the bases covered. Lippy

With this particular Falcon I'm totally ok with the sbc swap. It was made for it.

  25. Helped a buddy build a 61 falcon ranchero. 486bbc, prepped glide, dana 60 rear. Used to piss off the ford boys something fierce. When asked why not all ford, he'd tell 'em he wanted it fast and he wanted it to hold up. After driving it a few times, I have to say, he got what he wanted.

Cool! I used a sbc because it was what I had at the time along with a tranny to match.

There used to be a kid who hitch hiked around the U.P. of Michigan with a cowboy hat and a guitar.
Couldn't sing and couldn't play the guitar , but a lot of people laughed when they saw him.
Have fun with your Mad Max car . Don't forget the fake blower to finish it off.

I wouldn't run a fake blower. I have a aluminium scoop ontop of my afb sealed against the hood. With a Offenhauser polished scoop bolted to the hood.
