One of those hats would look great with the HAMB logo on it !

A few years ago I got one from Sacramento Vintage Ford, if that’s any help to you.

Thanks flatheadpete but every cap I picked was out of stock! Good selection if they had them.

I think we're about the same age, but I am not old enough to wear that style of hat! Maybe if I still had my O/T Spitfire. Maybe it's a regional thing? Still, I hope you find your dream.

NO thanks, not my cup of tea. I'll stick with ball caps.

Bought this one in ‘73 at the SR Nats, after I quit wearing it when at events it was worn a lot in the garage. It’s suffered lots of grinding, painting, oil changes and more.

  15. Had a NOS of these I sold on that inter web auction site a couple of years back. Guy who bought it said he was going to reproduce them. Don’t know if it came to pass. I just spent the funds received on hot rod parts.

  16. Last one I saw was in a Macs autoparts catalogue. I have an old one somewhere. I don't hate them but I don't wear it anymore, I prefer a ball cap with a visor.

Of course we did! The HAMB would only be about 20% of its size if we didn't keep re-hashing stuff. For that matter, the Linda Vaughn thread would only be about 5 or 6 pages long with out the re-posts. (not complaining)

  22. Your absolutely correct!, the members that have been here for years have heard it on more than one occasion, we just have to remember and keep on mind we get new members every day, sure they could use the search button but what's the fun in that?

We all like leftovers, but try to stay away from that stuff in the back of the fridge! :D
Rehashing old subjects just might have a better conclusion than it did in the past. HRP

it is 2020. did you try Amazon? they sell everything.

I used to wear those style hats all the time because one size fits all baseball caps didn't fit my giant head. bought mine in Berkeley at the hat store. I recently found some ball caps that fit, and I was thinking finally they make hats bigger for my melon, then I realized the hats are not bigger, I just have much less hair than I used to.:(

thanks for the replies. hrp gets it. most old threads are not much use when all the sites people point out are dead sites after so long ago. i am building a '23 c cab flatbed truck and it will look like a stocker with the wires and stock rake. hence the hat and white coveralls. ecklers it is. the price is right too.

I used to wear the so-called "newsboy" caps as a kid. They pretty much went out of
style for a long time. Various answers to the original question gave me sources to
check. I found the brand "Botvela" on Amazon.com. They have the white denim
type but it's available in a variety of colors and sell for $14.99. For the more upper
crust of you, they also come in a blended wool
