    People...

When you ask for help, it is a good bet that not many have their crystal balls up to date or even working.

So, to help...those giving their opinions, thoughts, and ideas (good or bad) to your questions...provide...details..!
Even to the point of rereading your post, and adding information that...you...may think...everyone knows...truste me...they/we don't..!
It's a REAL good bet that not one of us in the internet world, knows what you are doing, or what you have to work with..!
The more/better the fine details, the easier it is for others to help.

Another hint, pictures (not fuzzy ones either) help..!

    Mike

  5. Ummmmm I need help with this thing
    It’s from my vehicle
    That uses an energy source
    And I’m unsure
Of this n that and whatever else
But I googled this part, it’s in the assembly
But it’s spongy and firm at times
    Noises
But vibrates on Tuesday when I’m by the lake, but only with my dog Tex.
    I dunno
    It leaks but it’s dry
And it’s connected to the things
When I push the button it works
    But not really
Can you help me find one ?
I font have a part number, but it’s made of plastic
    Thanks

if the majority of replies to your questions on the HAMB (or anywhere else) are more questions you have failed at asking your question.

  10. A sparrow needs to flap its wings 43 times a minute to maintain a constant velocity.

But your question needs to be more specific
    An African or European sparrow.

  11. ..........and give us some vague idea of where you are located. You might be surprised that someone nearby has dealt with the same issue and might even be willing to offer some hands-on help.

I was just thinking about this the other day after reading a thread about wiring troubles. I just had to laugh, Squirrel posted three or four times trying to pry enough info out of the OP to answer the question and Jim’s one of our best problem solvers. I think they eventually got the thing fixed.
Many times as I type out my question as a new thread, I discover that I’ve just answered my own question!

    All you had to do is put this in the heading;
I KNOW NO ONE WILL READ THIS...
And you're sure to get a response, but seriously you are right on. An area of the country is a help also, I have had some stuff I would give a person but didn't know were they are from.

Somethin' like this should fit. The stock suspension should be fine. IMG_20200223_184312.jpg

  17. Agreed..provide specifics.
On that same note, the title should also be specific/informative enough for anyone else in the future to find it in a search, to resolve their like problem/s.
Finally, be sure and post the final result that resolved the issue.

Would also be nice if the O.P. would reply to the threads after all the advice to let us know the result. I'm talking ALL question posts, not this one specifically.
No that it matters but it's the right thing to do.

I've fussed about it on anther board but too many people assume that we know what vehicle that they are working on when they ask a question.
You do get the correct answers faster if you list the details of what you are working on when you ask the question. You also get the attention from the right people with the right answers and may eliminate some of the wild ass guesses.
Plus don't stick cutsie nick names on parts when you ask a question or you may not get an answer at all. You don't have a carby you have a Carburetor. You don't have a dizzy you have a distributor.

Last but not least, START A NEW FRIGGING THREAD with your question rather than digging up a ten year dead thread where guys end up NOT reading though to your post and just answer the OP who quite often hasn't been back in nine and a half years.

How 'bout the "HELP" aisle at AutoZone? They have all kinds of thingys. But sometimes you have to buy a pack of 15 to get the one you need.

  28. Doesn’t matter what you ask,,,
It’s going to get mission creep and the thread goes off on pseudo tangents that have absolutely nothing to do with the info needed.
