    yeah, I'll bet it never spent a night outdoors. I was lucky to find it with 40,000 actual miles

  16. The original sales invoice for Taboo, was shocked to see it in a box of stuff given to us when we bought the car back. Still looks like it was just typed out yesterday.

  23. I'm old enough to remember seeing Model A's with the top insert gobbled up with roofing tar, man what a mess. HRP

    Oh yeah. The first Model A coupe body I bought back in the 70's had part of a old BF Goodrich sign "glued" to the roof opening with an ungodly amount of roofing tar.

    Danny, is drakes store still a used as a landmark when giving directions out your way, when i first moved south his place was the only place that had gas on that country road?

  26. John, George Drake was a well know man out that way, many times I have heard, " go out Centerville Road until you get to Drakes Store and turn right or left"

    George died a long time ago but they still use the old building as a point of reference, the sell Christmas Trees there every year.

    I found this photo that was taken in the late 60's several years ago, no telling how many gallons of gas George pumped. HRP
