Hmmm, says Powered by Hemi on the quarter panel, but I think George ran Cadillac, SBC, Cammer and Boss 429, but never a hemi in any of his cars. Just a high priced, cheap imitation?
I have blown up every picture of that car that I can find with the big tires. I still cannot seem to get a clean read. The tire size alone is not enough. I want to know the wheel with, too, as it greatly affects how a tire appears when mounted. I want that exact setup (just with some grooves cut, to keep the cops happy), on my next build.
And this ones for sale on the HAMB https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=kGFxIi7coyg&feature=emb_logo
This thing has the right bones but the skinny back tire on a rusty wheel just ruins it. The silly peep mirror doesn't help either. Your car is better.....
@thunderbirdesq build this car out of a heap of a sedan, I believe. Andy has the eye for making hot rods have a presence.
He certainly does. He does great stuff. (I’m trying not to use the words amazing or awesome, lol) But I still think the rusty wheel and street rod mirror detract from the raw “mean” look though. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The wheels are just a set of as-found 48 merc wheels with 8.20 15 bias rubber, not sure where you’d find something wider in a street tire without putting radials on it. As far as the mirror goes... some of us actually drive these things. I think any mirror looks silly on a hard chopped coupe but, Ever driven one across the entire USA and back (or back and forth to work in city traffic for that matter)? Ya Gotta do something if you ever want to pass anyone.
