Hot Rods Do You Drag Race Your Hot Rod?

Some pretty cool race cars posted here! Some of them look pretty serious. I'm not going to get that crazy and just want to have a little fun with a street / strip car. That said, I picked up this dual quad 392 Hemi for my '34. Now I have to figure out what trans to run. An automatic would be better for drag racing and easier / cheaper install but the thought of banging the gears sounds pretty fun. Either way, I'm going drag racing boys!

In the 70's I drove this everyday and raced it on the weekends. Then moved on to race only cars but building a 39 coupe for the street now . I'm sure it will see the track at some point.

 

Only once Lower pic ,1983 Ballarat Australia,,eighth mile drags ,managed to get to the final but got beaten,,,great day drove there undone the headers changed the back wheels,,,and got to drive home un broken ,,,upper pic another great day ,,
