    Question for the experts.
Are the majority of these Sedans w/ V-8's sitting on a boxed A frame or do they commonly get built on a custom frame or 32 rails?

I'm not a expert but I've seen all of the above. Mine is on a custom frame but I've seen 32 frames pinched together for A's. So it all depends on the look and stance your going for. If there's a will there's a way. I'm sure boxing a stock frame works as well.

So you've stated that you dig stock proportioned A sedans but instead of posting one of those you post a heavy chopped and channeled one. Am I missing something?

So I just realized this picture is actually a 1932 which not a Model A. I wonder why they stopped calling them model A's. I'm sure someone here can tell me.

32's are also known as Model B and 18...I think that in the big scheme of New Cars keeping things Fresh and New helped with the sales tactics...

Reath Automotive MODEL A SEDAN 1958-60

    Hello,

We have always liked Model A coupes and sedans. The roadsters were also in the mix, but we needed something to lock up and not have to worry about “looky-loos” or “reach in” bad guys. So, our original hot rod was going to be a Model A Coupe, then it changed over time. But the one Model A Sedan that hit the spot was the one from Reath Automotive in Long Beach.

We saw it almost every weekend at Lions, racing and sitting with that mean look in the pits, between races. One thing we noticed and almost everyone else did, too, was the healthy motor sounds when it fired up and raced.

The Model A Coupes, Sedans and even Roadsters stood out because of the body and the distinct grille. The ones with a 32 grille always reminded us of those that wanted a 32, but did not have or could afford one. The 32 shell just looks off when it is put on any other year, except for a 32. The Model A grille was one of the distinct features that make up the cool looks.

With a slight chop, it looks even more aggressive. We always thought that the white Model A Sedan of Reath Auto (and listed with many other names over the years...Dosser Auto being one of the last ones, etc.) would have been a killer sight on the streets of Bixby Knolls during our weekly cruises and escapades.

Full fenders or fender-less, Model A Sedans, Coupes and Roadsters all look pretty cool for a hot rod…only if they have their own distinct, Model A grille.
