I took the brake pedal mount off the Merc, made some pie cuts to change the angle. Kind of hard to tell, but it feels better. That was using flux core, on a Hobart Handler 210. "Can't see the lines, can you Russ"? 20200209_130309.jpeg 20200209_160646.jpeg 20200209_161917.jpeg

I bought it through rockauto but it came from ACC. Better pricing than the other vendors selling the same product.

Thanks, I'll be replacing mine in the next few weeks. Does your carpet have sewn edges, I don't have sill plates, I wonder if they do that

The back edge is bound, but the sides are not. You should get a pair of step plates to keep the door from shoving them up and in the car. Fit is pretty good.

I’ve given up on trying to build it nice and just want to drive the stupid thing. Today was working on the brakes, messing with the column drop/angle of the dangle and fooling around with an accelerator pedal. I drilled, I tapped, I bolted and unbolted. Made progress at least.

Cut down and burned a couple large, diseased and dying pine trees. Hate having to cut them down, but have no choice.

    From the BillyBob Shop Log

February 10th 2020 Freed up my tranny jack from the gas tank sitting on it and got the Borg-Warner T5 Transmission out. I try to schedule the heavy lifting for the weekends 'cause, after twelve hours in the Krash Kubicle on the weekdays, I usually don't have the gumption to roll around on the floor and get greasy.

The Jimmy 302 engine block and bellhousing will be the last major Item to exit the chassis. We are now basically down to bare bones. Most items now coming off the truck will be cleaned up and put right back on. We're movin' into a scraping and painting phase. Beer of the day was Fulton Brewery's Lonely Blonde American Blonde Ale.

Finally stabbed my OT LA 360. Wouldn't go in for nothing. Took it all apart to measure. Found clutch disc went on one way but hung up on flywheel side. Sanded with emery cloth , filed grooves , still pretty tight. Mind you this is 3rd try. So I hung the pressure plate on the bearing retainer where the t-o bearing rides, slipped the disc on and then stabbed the motor. Got the pp bolts in and stuck it the final half inch. Never did it like that before, but it worked!

  13. Continued on installing dropped spindles on the F-1 and mounted my
'Year of Manufacture" plate. Hid the back-up camera under it, old age, can't turn and look back as easy. By the way, there's my led on a stick work light in the picture.

It sounds to me like frustration has set in. I think you should let me get it out of your sight so you won't have to fret about it anymore. As a humanitarian gesture and to show how sincere I am about relieving the tension you must have, I am willing to bring my trailer from Tennessee, load up this problem that's making your head hurt and haul it to my house. I'm even willing to pay
    for
    the gas both ways. ;)

I will donate blood today at the Red Cross. This will be my 103rd donation in 41 years. Today will be a "Power Red" donation, meaning they take 2-pints of red blood cells and return the balance of the blood ingredients back to me.
Also, my O+ blood is "CMV Negative", meaning my blood can be given to babies and children who have serious medical issues and need blood, and are too young to have the antibodies required to defend against CMV, a common virus in adults.
    Please donate blood.

You have a pass for the obligatory "pictures or it didn't happen" mantra.

  28. Fiddled around with the '33; bent up a couple brake lines to run from the bulkhead giz I made up to the master cylinder; still don't care for that modern CuNi line. Figured out the electric panel is going to get pretty crowded; lotsa more crap to mount yet.

Need more people to do that Tom. I do the Power Red donation as well. Much prefer doing that rather than the regular donation. Can't give again until May 14th.

Thank you for your comments Denny. Great to hear from a fellow Power Red donor. My next day is June 1st.
We need to try to get a HAMB blood drive going. Members would go to the Red Cross donation center near their own community and report the results here. That would be a very cool and noble thing to do.
