Thanks @Dyce...there's much to celebrate in the diversity of the Big Hotrod picture...

I'm thinking we're overdue for a pic of your personal bit of Hotrod Inspiration coming together so nicely in your shop and you know why because it's unique in it's own way of course Kookie not Cookie...;)

I'll get a few this weekend. I'm putting the front fenders on and fitting the grill shell. Thanks again!

It is hard to imagine how hot and dusty those playa lakes are. The minimal shade and camping equipment in these pictures show that these folks were dedicated. Half a century earlier pioneers were dying out there. To see the Burners headed home from Burning Man each year is crazy but most of them had motorhomes and tons of equipment. If you haven't been out on one of the dry lakes you have no idea. Bonneville is a whole other thing.

...this was Gordon Reid's Hotrod and by all accounts he was quite the hoodlum with a Capitol 'H' Street racing at every opportunity owning a particular road race record for quite some time near a Local Drive In Theater.

That wasn't enough excitement as he balanced out the love of going fast as a Track Racer and unfortunately that is where he met a tragic end to his life taking 3 others with him in a racing accident...:(

Lots of Hotrod lineage in Cal Morrow's Unique Tracknose Coupe that had several signature transitions and looked cool in every one of them...It has been the topic of much discussion in the 60s thread...is it still around...hmmm...I gotta go back to see...Kustomrama didn't say actually but perhaps it's still with it's Orange Krate era Owner...and I think it's a mystery at this point...
