I agree, I don't normally like channeled cars like that, but that one indeed is very special.

I did find it...I thought I put it up, but I'll try again. I'm dealing with a thousand images here and half of those I have posted...it's easy to get confused..............

  8. Tom, I love this thread. It keeps on giving even after the show is over. I can enjoy the show longer.
    Thanks again.

Dean, I edit them all. That takes time. If I spend enough time editing, I can make even a bad photo look Good!

  12. Yes, you make some cars look better than they really are.

    Thanks, Dean.
I have actually made such things as door gaps better! Felt sorry for the owner.

Don't remember seeing this beauty. The model 40 just rings my bell, and that grille is a big reason why. I am easily confused by Dueces with reverse-hinged doors and model 40 grilles, so I am guessing that this is a real model 40?

The meanest-looking hot rods are model 40's, in my book, but this baby ^^^^ gives the 35-38 Fords a run for their money, right on the sweet spot between hot rod and custom. Like this baby:

Ok cool. Reverse hinge doors and model 40 grille on a 35, that is killer.

All 35's had those grilles. This one might have new bars, but that's the regular shape of a 35 grille. Flat across the bottom, not pointed.

Well hello, I see it now even at the top corners of the grille. Guess I never really studied the 35 grille much. And I see it at the shape of the top. Consider me educated.

Speaking of model 40's . . .So on the other thread, @Blues4U says that is EC's car. Was he there? Did anyone see him? Poor guy probably can't attend these things for the commotion it would cause.

I've seen several EC cars at the show over the years, but never Eric. I did see Billy Gibbons and he seems to thrive on being there posing for selfies with people. Same thing with Jay Leno.

I believe it was on instagram where I saw that the chassis on this car is by Jerry Kugel.
