Here`s one of Harold`s. it was just completed. You can tell it`s a Holland show, cause of all the dried up grass. It was dusty as well. 2019-07-31_101322.jpg

  10. Man...great cars...it’s wild to think about..but many of those folks are no longer with us...or no longer driving a car!!! And 32 years ago a 61 Chevy was only 27 years old vs the 59 years today....I often wonder about “ remember “ cars..have these discussions with friends and a lot of times it stops with “they passed away years ago” and then “wonder where the car went”

I was going to drive my black 55 chev but it had a rear wheel bearing go out the night before, with no time to change it I drove my 61 impala with multiple primer spots and a different colored front fender.....you can see it to the right of the dodge

Was that the year a small plane crashed just beyond the show field?

I believe it was. I remember that crash. I believe it was the last day, Sunday Morning. As I recall it hit a house. What other years was KKOA at Holland Mi?

As a matter of fact the more I think about it , I may have the 90 pics mixed into this thread and I can't for the life of me find my 89 pics. So I may have to do the 92 show next

Mick, there was a small airport close to the fairgrounds. A small plane took off, went over the grounds, and you could hear it was having engine trouble. Wound up crashing, maybe 4-500 feet from the car show area. Couple people died.

Wow, a lot of beautiful cars, '88 doesn't seem so long ago but it is. Thanks for the pictures.

  30. Hope I'm not sounding like a broken record, but here is another W.E.H.T. feature car. Thing is, you guys are posting so many cool cars we've discussed over there in the last four years or so it's hard not to add them to these KKOA "good ol' days" threads!
This car was Paul Brenner's '59 Buick from Ontario, Canada. We talked about it quite some time back, being feature car #55. Here's a link if you want to see more. E
