    Rockauto, seriously!

  3. It's not getting restored to stock - the fella I got it from had an S10 sitting out back he was going to do a chassis swap with. It needs to be able to tow the race car on the interstate.

I would have fell out of my chair if I even had the thought that you would do this very cool panel "Back Stock" All anyone needs to do is look at your other stuff and know it is going to be very cool.

  5. I conveniently showed up after the loading part of this get together! It was good seeing you in our parts Tony. Glad Bill found the right place for that truck to go. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

  7. Yeah crazy is the only way to roll.

Glad you came over to the shop! It's been a long winter so far. We have no excuse for not getting together more.

I think its 116 - Bill said a S10 regular cab long bed was the same. My D-11 is 116.

If you do go with a diesel make sure it isn't one of the new ones with high pressure common rail injectors, regardless of make. As I understand it, the GMs are the worst, but all brands are having problems. Mine cost me about $3500 with getting the injectors at wholesale and labor at half price of dealer. Would have been about $5500 if I had just taken to Chevy dealer for repair with their parts. This with less than 90K miles on an '03!
The Cummins makes sense as it's an inline 6, and the old Dodges all had a rather narrow engine bay because all their engines were inline.
Ken Moore had a helluva time putting the big block wedge head 440 in his '36 Dodge. An inline engine would have fit much more easily, but be aware the Cummins engines are HEAVY!

This whole virus thing is messing up my drag racing, darn it! Maybe some videos of driveway/street launches would help get me through it... ;)

Hey Chuck how the fuck you been?

My vote would be 5.9 magnum swap. Cheap, easy, reliable. They make a carb intake for them and a Dakota 5 speed will bolt right up if you want 3 pedals.

Also all of the old mopar small block accessories bolt up so you can get rid of the serpentine belt.

  16. Went to Steel In Motion this weekend. I admit that it looked like the State Police weren't going to let this happen so I didn't drag my car up there. But we went and had a good time watch everyone else race. Then we went to the farm and did farming stuff. After that we all ..... drum roll .... went out to eat - no mask! Somebody call the cops!

Give me 5 days and I'll let ya know if we all die of the Kung Flu - my bet is that we won't.

Did you eat at the mexican place, I think it's called something like "No Problemo"?! They were busy when we went, pretty good food.

This place was in Boiling Springs SC and was awesome. It was like getting out of jail and not being caught.
