    In the late '50s, the accepted theory was a second engine was needed to go faster on the dragstrip. Three different designs were used: inline, side-by-side, and canted side-by-side. The latter was used by the Dragmaster team on its Two Thing (and by Tommy Ivo on his twin-Buick dragster). This required one engine to run in reverse with flywheel gears meshing.

    Edit: unlike TV Tommy's buicks this one has all the center pipes pointing up

  15. I’ve been toying with the idea of adapting this AA Rochester from a 49/50 Olds 303 to my “265”, possibly destined for my A Tudor.

    And in place of the chrome unit, using a Grace&Co unit.

    Does anyone have experience with these Rochester AA carburetors?

    Dragmasters' involvement with Dodge included building a Slant Sixpowered, Dart-chassis'd dragster called the Dart 6. It competed at the 1962 Nationals.

    Thanks mikey they are the mopar small block with the 4-71 made its first pass down the road today gotta richen it up a skosh but Will be ready for next weekends Starbird car show in Tulsa and the dragster is waiting on a throttle cable and warm dry weather lol but it does run and sounds real good

    This one was on the dyno earlier this week. A pair of 390 cfm vacuum secondary carbs.
