I found this place is anybody ever use them before don't know anything about them never heard of them? https://callitw.com/index.php?route=mobile_store/home
Go with Diamonbacks had them for years ride good an balance good just order another set price is a little spendy
never heard of them. Interesting...permanent portawalls. "Calli Tire & Wheel LLC is proud to introduce our line of custom made and affordable whitewall tires! Our process takes a radial blackwall tire and turns it into a whitewall tire using real whitewall rubber. This is not paint, but real raw whitewall rubber. The raw rubber is vulcanized (cured using heat and pressure) to permanently bond the whitewall rubber to the tire. Calli Whitewall tires are made with an added stain blocker. This is a black rubber layer that goes under the white rubber, and its purpose is to keep the whitewall white"
Are you asking me what tires I use? I just copied and pasted that info from the Calli web page that you linked to. I think wide whites look dorky, and don't put them on anything
I've had both good and bad results with Diamondbacks. I'll be ordering a set of Calli's soon, because of the cost.
Universal has been around forever, since the 1970s at least. I remember their catalog from back then.
I would say the opposite is true they really aren't in demand so the cost to produce limited numbers means each tire has to cover way more of the production costs. We get to add about 40% to those prices by the time we pay exchange and brokerage up here. Sent from my SM-G950W using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Diamondbacks, spendy but looks and safety for my ride and FAMILY the cost is never too much. Be Kool!
Got a great Price from Performance Plus Tires on Aurburn Bias Ply Radials Wide Whites Just under $1000 shipped to my door
I moved this to the main board. the traditional custom forum is no place for a discussion on radial tires.....
I have 3 cars running the Cokers and will put them on my Buick when finished. Never had a problem and the quality of the appearance is really good.
Their site says Calli tires are Nankang or Hankook radial tires with whitewalls vulcanized on. They don't look wide white or bias. They look like 15'', 14" & 13" low-rider tires.
These are diamondback and were on the car when i bought it a couple of years ago. Whitewalls are vulcanized onto TOYO carcus. I have read one guy gripes about whitewall coming off of his Diamondbacks but i have to say mine are solid and no signs of failing. I drive cross country on freeways at 80 and back roads up, down, and around hills and have had zero problems in about 20,000 + miles. Tread wear is great and car handling is great. I think the brand of tire Diamondback uses is based on the size of tire you desire (not every size is available in every brand).
First off... I couldnt agree more, anything other than Cooker is a good choice... Sorry if I offend anyone with this comment but the quality of the last 4 sets gotten through them were trash.... run out- vertical high spot and side to side also... CHEAP- get a set of BFG radial TA take them to a tire shop that will buff the lets off and go down to white underneath the black... Costs about 25 a tire to have the whitewall buffed in, not a perfect whitewall like a made one, but functional and safe, ran quite a few of these. ANy tire with a Raised white leter will work also just fyi... Not as cheap- DIAMONDBACK. But good quality, diamondback actually uses major manufactured tires and vulcanizes a whitewall into the tire. Works great and last long time for sure with no problems. CHEAPEST....... Port-O-walls... BUT crap quality and look like crap.....
