I think I saw that car on the local Craigslist a few years ago. It was in some storage facility near South San Francisco if I remember right. It looked OK from 25 ft away but up close it was clear that this one had major issues.
Hey thanks I do love my Willys actually just been sitting in it today waiting for the spring to arrive to take a little drive out. Have a great weekend dude,,,,,,,
Made a start on the repairs, starting to look a little better. Decided to chop it too, I took 3" out of the front and 2,1/2 out the rear.
Cut a section of roof out of a Saab 93 that I had sitting around work out perfect to fill the roof, slow job welding it in, little more work and be good to go.
At least you will know every inch of that car by the time you have finished Wayne and the knowledge that you have done it the justice that it deserves.... Didn't realise myself what I let myself in for with my 5w, I shipped in years ago....
Hey Bob how ya doing looks like your keeping ya self busy too, I know your make a cracking job of that 5w,,,
I remember when this car was advertised, I still have the pics of the add on my old computer. I considered it but timing was bad. looks like I dodged a bullet. But it looks like you are making lemonade out of a lemon.
Hey I wished I'd missed that bullet too at one stage but now I'm on an up hill climb slow but getting there, any chance you can stick the add on here as I can't find it cheers Wayne
I thought all 34s came like that. Mine had been upside down too, it sat in the back of my workshop for 9 years before I started it but it's nearly there now.
That wasn’t so bad,,, you’ll be done in 6 weeks and it will be perfect at that rate. Keep going you’ve got to make up them 6 yrs.
Great work Wayne looks like all the bad stuff was never there. I knew you were more than capable. Were doing well thanks not much happening with mine since I last spoke to you but as you no life comes before toys Keep at it watching to see you turn this into a badass hot rod
Working on right side of roof to quarter, also made up new panel between deck lid and roof as it was badly damaged and full of plod.
if you are going to be that bad at the metal part you need to put a little more effort in the bondo sculpting part. nice save.
Had a change from the body repairs and made and welded all the floor panels, trans tunnel and fire wall in as I'm gonna take out the wood from B/posts and replace with metal.
I was feeling sorry for you until I saw you could fix it all. that would be expensive to pay someone to do.
