I've been waiting to see this since you mistakenly had it in the background in some other pics, great job!

I’m still waiting to see it so far this thread way too light on pictures.

We need as many pics as you have since some of us can't read! Seriously, I'm going to really appreciate this thread as when I "finally" get to my '56 Meteor Rideau Victoria I'll be swapping the upper to a much better lower of a '56 Ford. The Meteor has good floors but bad body mounts and some weird damage to the lower quarter panels; the Ford has very good quarters and body mounts and bad floors. I know I have to transplant the top at the B pillars and I'll splice where that three inch band of stainless lays in case of any major errors it can disguise it. But the inner B pillar needs to be splice as well obviously. I've done this job thousands of times in my head around 3:00 in the morning cause I can't turn off my brain to sleep! More pics pleas...

  4. It was decided that to us the biggest design flaw of the wagons & what needed to happen to create the "sport wagon" look was some major, major surgery in the gate & back window department. We really liked the wrap around windows & roll down back window of the early 60's Falcon wagons & full size Fords Wagons.

We're extremely blessed to have a wrecking yard that has a bunch of 50's & 60's era cars that we could study and..... CUT UP! o_O

We cut the back half off a full size Ford wagon in hopes of re-purposing the C-pillars, gate mechanisms & other parts.

After shortening down the C-pillars & making some temporary bracing we began to dial in the flow of the car we where looking for.

Hey that's my mates Mainline Ute and it's a 55 with the Aussie 57 side trim. We got this body style from 55 through to 59 in ute and 4 door sedan versions. Ford Australia used Mercury and Canadian trim to update the 57 to 59 models.

  10. Awesome....thanks for doing this. I'll be patiently waiting to find out how you did the back half of the roof's SS (chrome?) trim. That is an awesome car.

I've seen enough. No need to go any further. Been done before.

Reverse phycology, Mrs.BB uses it on me so I thought I'd give it a go. ;)

  16. Dang! A little patience? Personally I prefer some for-play before the big dance but....

So should I even keep posting built pictures? Or do we truly live in a day where everyone has to have instant results?

Is it that #2 Highway debate? Edmonton-Calgary or is that Calgary-Edmonton? Why can't you guys be more like Red Deer, right in the middle! LOL

this wagon is a traditional milestone car in modern day ! First pics I saw on the internet from the Pomona entry it immediately popped up dozens of questions, how did they do this, what did they use for that,...and look at THIS....
So YES, please keep on posting the build pics whenever you have time. looking forward to learning about all those big and minute details that went into this super gorgeous ride !

I think we were all impatient because it was taking you days to post pics of a car that was already shown completed all over the internet.

  26. C'mon now, please post the build pics. That wagon is absolutely amazing! Here is another nice Ranchero conversion I see at local shows here on Kent Island. I like the way the back seat folds up- kinda like a "rumble seat"... 20190504_110746.jpg 20190504_110802.jpg

keep going with the thread, kinda a spoiler there with the finished shots as I was hoping to see this come togeather with a finished car at the end ,but as you said ,instant gratification these days.

Yeah, I really didn't need the finished photos, as they are plastered everywhere on the internet. I'm much more interested in the build and how you overcame a lot of the challenges to get the car looking just-right.

And it does... you outdid the Nomad. Can't wait to see more.

I was/am enjoying the build pictures...please continue. Maybe the internet show-offs could play elsewhere for awhile.
