Thanks for posting these pics! I don't like every detail or color choice, but I really like every car this year. Dusty's T has a great story and is a knockout, but its tied with the Leg Show T. Such a wild car and its a tribute to one of my favorite T buckets from back in that era.

Really? This is the car I thought least likely to win.

  6. Looks like something Bobby Alloway built 20 years ago.

Old is new again. Not long now and this will be called 'Old skool' in some places.

The thing I dont understand is why is there so many cars in the show with a roof?

Looks almost identical to about 20 I saw at Deuce days. Still it comes down to fit, finish and what rocks the judges socks on a particular day.
Admittedly I blew it off too simply it appears to have a same as a lot of others factory produced look that others referred to.

That's disappointing. They rarely get it right.

Think it was red before new owner had it redone for the GNRS.

  22. Hard to pick a winner from looking at photos online.

Or if you’re at the show it’s easy to have a favourite.

As a member of the judging team - it’s a package deal in terms of the overall package of the car

I sure wouldn’t want to be a judge. Each of the contenders had a lot going for it but missed the mark in one way or another. I heard several negative comments about the lack of paint on the deck lid and hood sides on Dusty’s T. Too bad. It’s a very cool car, like the green track T. It had such nice details but the color just missed. I figured the brownstone or the flamed “Alloway style” car would win. They just seem like the kind of car judges like.
Call me nuts but I liked the Leg Show, it’s one of those ballsy over the top entries. It looks better under the lights in person.

Really nice car, but I've got to deduct a few points for that blister. Maybe a little better if the paint scheme accommodatesd it more gracefully.

    (Hope that's not a new O'Brien product. ;))

Winner looks good to me, how much of a stretch is there to the hood and wheelbase? May not be "HAMB Friendly" but it's got the look. Bob

I'm not that familiar with the Schroeder design, but I find it very difficult to believe you can't trim the dummy end to whatever length you want. Even if you had to hire a machinist for an couple of hours, the cost would be peanuts relative to the project budget.

My theory is that the car was being built for export to an Englishman, who backed out at the last moment, after the hole in the cowl was drilled and the car painted. ;)

    Yep, my thoughts exactly.
Most on here would like a traditional hot rod to win, (obviously), but there are other styles of cars out there, and all nice cars in their own right.
( now, can anyone explain to me why they don’t have door handles ? - except the ‘34 ).

The Track T would have won if it had been registered in a state with a green license plate. Or maybe, if the car were red. ;)
