Event Coverage Blues' Photos .... GNRS 2020

Don't want to step on anyone else's photo thread, so I thought I'd start my own. Thanks to fellow HAMBer I was able to get in to the show today, and what an awesome day it was. So many great cars, and so few people. These first ones here, this is just a sampler to wet your appetite. I'll post more as I get the time. Enjoy!

I stopped off at Stokers open house first.

Did Jimmy have anything in the show?...he did have 50s Ford I thought...

Jimmy didn't have anything in the show. He was just hanging out, strolling through one of the buildings, I think it was #6, anyway he was in no hurry to get anywhere, he was fine just hanging out and talking, looking at the cars. When we parted and I went about doing my thing, I saw him several more times, just hanging out with folks, talking and laughing. A very cool guy. I've always loved JV, more now than ever. You know sometimes you find out your hero turn's out to be an asshole? Yeah, it's great when that doesn't happen, when they turn out to just be a cool guy, someone you could hang with.

Jimmy's green Caddy and my red Track Roadster were parked next to each other in the 50th GNRS at the Cow Palace in '99.

I understand that Coker tires are not round but someone buy this guy some balance beads.

 

Here's another version of one of the shots from above, this one has better resolution. That blue 33, that's another guitar player's car, a guy named Eric Clapton.

I know hot rodders for the most part are older guys, but wow, check out the vendor booth being set up for Forest Lawn Cemetery in the background.
