Went on a decent tin hunt recently, and scored a 34 ford front cross member, 30 ford open car cowell, 31 closed car eye brow panel, and a whole bunch of patch panels and parts from junk piles pushed up by council graders. Found them in places I never would have thought to look, it's cool getting free parts. I also found half a dozen coins too! So much fun, and has been a great way to escape the horrible things I'm going through at the moment.

Offset generator bracket arrived today. Also purchased the polishing wheel to get this alloy sparkling.
Looking good mate. I like the small Marchal lights. What are the two red attachments ? Do they turn with the steering ? That would be cool.
They're just small red clamps holding them in place for now. I really like the small lights too, the lenses have a neat ribbed ridge which runs top to bottom.

Made a small amount of progress on the roadster recently. Sold a set of 35 wires including the front runners off the roadster and had a couple of others blasted and painted them today. Tyres are 550 16" firestones that I bought cheap off a restorer who misordered. Cost me $25 for a new pair! Anyway, I think these will help the stance a little. Get the tyres fitted tomorrow!
Got some time in today on the roadster, welding patches in the floor pan and sealed them up with paint.
Just finished reading through all 28 pages. Great build, I'm in awe of your resourcefulness! It's really starting to come together!
Thankfully we didn't have any large fires too close to us. We got a lot of smoke from Kangaroo island and surrounding bush fires, and had grass fires a short distance from us. Some weren't so lucky! I have been steadily working on my house and clearing out the shed to prepare to put my property up for sale. Clearing out the shed has been some what satisfying, and will in the end help with the focus to get the roadster done.
It is good to hear that you and your family are safe and that you were able,to avoid the fires - they are a real tragedy for Australia. My daughter is in Werribee going to school so I had sone concerns about the fires. Your roadster is coming along very nicely and I look forward to seeing your progress on it.
Roadster is shaping up real nice. You've got quite a collection of parts there. Amazed at how you've been able swap and trade for the parts needed on your '32. I've always found looking for parts at swap meets and wrecking yards to be one of the more enjoyable activities associated with our hobby. Glad to hear you've been safe from the fires.
Well I'm on a little tin hunt at the moment before the big (for Australia) Ballarat swap meet this weekend. I stopped in and collected a couple of banjo rear ends for a decent price on my way to visit family in Victoria. One is an early 32 and the other is a 33-34 I believe. Also picked up a late 3 0 's Chev grille and removed a dash from a dumped truck cab. Fun!
A good haul. The shape of the radius arms would support your assessment of the model years on the axles.
I'm wonderin' about that lizard...Kinda looks like one of our own Gila Monsters of the Southwestern U.S. Long tail and slender neck are unique, is it venomous? Roadster is getting sleeker by the minute. Front wheels & tires look great. Kinda looks like that lizard...

Thank you for the kind words! The lizard is a Goana, that one is about 3 feet long but they grow to about 4 feet. Not really dangerous unless you mess with them. I was up close to this one.
