    I have never seen pictures of Ray`s car with skirts. Just doesn't look right.

    It is rare that I don`t like skirts on a 50`s custom. Would love to see his shoebox someday.

    Yes I would love to see this one in person.... I like skirts but it depends what else is going on. To me the skirts fight the flow of the side chrome.

    I think they'd look good on your ride, too. Have to agree with Mo that the Dodge caps wud look good, also. But, then you'd be copying Lyle. Be advised the original Plymouth caps only come in 14" and I suspect the same is true for the Dodges. Too bad as I was considering the Plymouth caps, as well. A guy at Carlisle last year had about 300 originals... all 14".

    The WILLIS HORN Coupe

    My Grandfather purchased this custom in 1941 and given to me when I was 11 years old in 1973. We worked together on this custom in my parents garage till 1976. Eventually my coupe was put away in storage till 2018. That's when I took my coupe to Standley Bros. Customs in Yuba City California. The coupe is shown here after media blasting at Goodguys 2019 in Pleasanton California. After this show, the coupe went through a complete frame off restoration. The frame, engine, transmission and Columbia two speed have been completely restored to new. Currently the coupe is painted & upholstered and will debut at the 2020 Sacramento Autorama in California...
