How early did guys start reversing firewalls on their 30/31 Model A's? I'm imagining it was shortly after the ohv olds and cad's came out. Anyone have any early photos?

  2. Probably as soon as people started putting the wrong engine in a model A. There is a legit argument for making more room for a flathead in a model A. But even if there were not another popular engine in prewar and war era model As was the 6 cylinder Chevrolet. So I would imagine later '30s or earlier '40s.

I've always heard that was the "old school" way but I can't remember ever seeing it in old pictures.
