I was clearing out a desk drawer this morning and came across this tag topper. Curiously it is stamped 'OBRIEN' on the rear. Does anyone know the origin of these. Unlike many I have seen listed online it is super smooth on the front. I just wasn't sure if this was an official HAMB topper or some clone/copy. I will be listing it in the classifieds and wanted to make sure I represented it properly. Thanks,
Yep I do have one too and there is an other one made differently... but it’s O’Brien too! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I'm pretty certain it's legit, Paul. It's not one of the more "rare" ones that Ryan has sold, but still worth a few bucks to folks.
..........I don't have a picture of one handy, but they've been posted off and on over the years. There was at least one thread with pictures of where folks have mounted theirs and there were some of the more rare ones in that thread.
.........I bet Danny has a picture of one, in fact I think he may have one or more of the older ones.
While on the subject I think it would be a splendid idea if Ryan made special one off's for the moderators who put up with some of the shit that goes on around here!
As I recall the " Spreading the Gospel" topper was a limited edition and were made by a member (not O'brien) all of them were auctioned off, this is long time ago, before the the current format and member often did auctions to help Ryan keep the lights on before the Alliance Membership was in place. I remember bidding on a couple but I was out bid every time. HRP
Wish it was my Topper but it's not, the original owner, Tommy, has passed and the Topper supposedly went with car.
"Dean Lowe, post: 13392110, member: 56515"]That is cool. What are the wings from? When my Dad died he left me a couple things, a set off cufflinks with his initials and a HD belt buckle. I simply cut the wings off the HD buckle and grafted them to the HAMB topper..........................
Ryan, any chance of another batch of toppers for this year? Every time there is a new batch, I go harvest the change from under the seats and ashtrays... only to be too late - SOLD OUT!
