Looking at the survey numbers we look like a bunch of old geezers.

But the survey represents such a tiny, tiny part of the registered membership here I wonder how skewed the survey is by those of us willing to reveal our ages?

(I looked in the "new member intro" section and the first on the list was something like member # 346, 500."

And so far the survey looks like less tha 600 votes.

Are the other 345,900 to young to vote?

  14. Possibly they are denialest. They just don't believe their old? I see them all the time don't realize they cant trust a fart any longer. and have poop stains on the pants. Or don't think there dick is gonna dribble after they stick it back in their underwear. You see them on the dead pecker bench at Wal Mart with their pee stained crotches. There is no shame in wearing a adult diaper if its needed. Then you see them worry about having to get their eyes tested when they renew their drivers license. They don't want to wear their coke bottle glasses when driving. And the best one I hear is Ive got a new doctor! Maybe this one will figure out what is wrong with me. I want to tell them your old and decrepid. You have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana Peel. Every day your gonna be a bit worse. There isn't a cure for old age and never will be a cure. nobody ever got out of this world alive.

Geez ... I think I'll stick with thinking they're too young to vote, leaves more hope for the hobby :)

If anyone asks I'll deny I said that!

I worry about dum stuff sometimes, like when a young guy ask a dum "Q" and gets a smartass "A",vs a careful "A" that he asked about. Sure it was a punk"Q"may be,but not too him,an dose no good for our hobby making NG feel on the out side= Each time that happens, likely makes the hobby smaller=not good ! Think about it,before being a smartass.

Dana Barlow is totally correct . Old saying “ to get respect you have to give respect”

  22. This is totally lacking here these days....not sure what is happening, it seems as though the threads with the bullshit go for pages and build threads or tech stuff hardly gets a second look. There is an awful lot of complaining...which I guess I am doing right now.

Even with tech and repair threads it’s not always a right or wrong way of doing things - sometimes there is different ways of solving the same problem.
But if you discuss the topic respectfully and with a open mind instead of with insults and I’m always right attitude you can accomplish more.
Sometimes I don’t comment on tech threads because I don’t want to get slammed for some small mistake

Hot rodding seems to be a generational craze that mainly seems to have effected the WW2 baby boomers such as myself. We are now getting old. No way around that.

In the same way the outlaw biker movement is mainly made up by veterans, originally from WW2, and more recently Vietnam veterans. They are all getting old now too.

I have no idea what comes next. Today's snowflake generation don't seem to be interested in anything other than avoiding real work, changing gender, or screaming at the sky.
