I'm cleaning out a new section in the basement for the Bob Tail chassis setup, more space than I thought I had. Bob
The basement is starting to really get cluttered with everything that was up here in the "office". Got a winter project of actually finishing the floor, painting everything, and build some nice cabinets & shelves. all these years and I've never had a place to display stuff that is in closets and boxes. The Bob Tail & 1911 Hupmobile are all I'm working on now. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving. Bob

That NOS rear crossmember just got a new home, sale covered some needed parts. Getting this chassis together is job one. The Bobtail and Hupmobile are my only projects, two cars that I could actually get running. Merry Christmas! Bob
No paint, I still have the last 18 inches of oak to set. Then it is clear out the room, sand it, stain it, and a few coats of clear. I'd set June first as reasonable deadline to miss. Merry Christmas! Bob
I enjoy boxing things, table saw cuts things to size. Reverse the box, cut to length, tape it, address it take it to the post office , job done. Bob
THIS IS NOW A BUILD, dumping the '29 Steelback and the future wiring nightmare. Four plug wires and a kill switch, this T is doable. Bob

Just opened the box, two great crossmembers, the rear one is a 1909-13, sits inside the rails. First one I've ever had in 59 years in the hobby. Got to clean out a work spot in the basement for this now. Bob
Poked around on the basement shelves and found more bits. APCO rear axle truss rod brackets blasted and primed as are some other bits. This is a fun project, going to call in tomorrow for front crossmember rivets and some transfer punches. Bob
And that's how it starts. You start looking around realizing you may just have enough pieces and parts to build another car----then you realize your head deep into actually building it!
Sure it is overkill, sanding, priming and painting the mating surfaces before riveting them in place, they look nice for 100 year old parts. Bob

My front crossmember rivets arrived today. If you need rivets for any Model T or A Ford check out the supply Jim Dix hast offer. I've known him for 20+ years good guy, rivets and the tools to set them. Bob
