Well, THIS happened when I was younger. I had to go back to Michigan from California and dig up my 1931 Dodge Brothers DH6 engine from the backyard where I used to live. My Dad sold the house and I had to wait for the owner to sell it again before I could dig it up. I am the guy with the shovel and the sweater/vest....
Yep....this happened, too. I flat towed the '31 DB coupe from Detroit, Michigan up through the upper peninsula and across the U.S. to San Diego....

I was just looking at this photo I took back in 1993 of my 49 ford coupe. God, I loved that car! Built it from an original 6 cylinder stocker. My daily driver chevy pickup is in the background.

Our Son in 1977 at an NSRA event being like his Dad and washing his ride. He loved that little car. Grew up to became an Automotive Engineer in Michigan. Don't know what ever happened to his car after he outgrew it. Have never seen one like it since.
